Will manage process and team responsible for construction loan pipeline and construction support services for PBB. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining appropriate controls, supporting Line Origination colleagues in an advisory role, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and uniformity of documents, adherence to regulatory and Bank policy & procedures with regard to documentation and portfolio management, developing and implementing procedures, monitoring compliance, ensuring data integrity, resolution of complex documentation or portfolio management requirements, and keeping productivity and quality control on target. Provides support and assistance to other operational areas of the department as needed.

  • Manages the daily activities of staff in the unit; monitors workflow for bottlenecks and/or inefficiencies.
  • Oversees the construction process to ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
  • Maintains data integrity, productivity and quality control in accordance with established standards.
  • Reviews construction budgets, disbursement requests, progress reports, loan documentation, and partners with PBB Loan Administration, Commercial Real Estate Banking, and Commercial Lending Operations.
  • Works with lenders and other bank staff in relation to accurate preparation of loan documents, resolution of complex issues, notification to underwriting team of project issues, assists in remediation of out-of-budget and delayed projects.
  • Trains staff and lenders, as required, regarding loan documentation, construction loan package requirements, setting borrower expectations, and other policies and procedures to be followed through the duration of a construction project.
  • Manages third party vendor relationships for construction disbursement services.
  • Oversee construction progress disbursement process (internal & external).
  • Coordinates and/or participates in various operational and compliance audits conducted in the unit.
  • Prepares responses to audit findings, develops and implements process and procedure enhancements to reduce risk findings surfaced by the audit group(s).
  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees construction pipeline from initial client engagement through completion, including lien release waivers, issuance of Certificate of Occupancy, Notice of Completion, and title endorsements.
  • Manages a larger, more complex, and/or more risk intensive department within Personal & Business Banking Credit.
  • Accomplishes results through subordinate associate colleagues who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet deadlines or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Manages cross-functional programs and projects of various sizes; represents operations on inter-departmental projects; participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.
  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the department.
  • Ensures activities are in compliance with regulatory/legal requirements and CNB policy and procedure.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years working in a commercial bank or other lending institution showing increasing levels of responsibility in loan documentation or servicing, with a focus on commercial loans.
  • 7 years working with commercial loans.
  • 5 years management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of loan documentation and servicing, loan systems and outsourcing solutions applicable to the Bank’s diverse loan servicing requirements.
  • Good organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Ability to present ideas, obtain concurrence and resolve conflicts within the supervised unit.
