About The Position

Position reports directly to the Second Shift Supervisor. Responsible for assisting in successful Put away and Replenishment operations as well as supporting achievement of Department Goals. Focuses on efficient day-to-day operations, leading/coaching the team, and categories related to quality, safety, and accuracy.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ work experience in the warehouse/distribution environment
  • Good communication skills required for interaction with internal staff as well as external vendors and contractors.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Must have responsible work habits with an emphasis on safety.
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership, organization, and communication.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, Lotus Notes, and warehouse systems
  • Good attendance is required
  • Must be Forklift certified or willing to be trained to operate

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct daily leadership of team members to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the area
  • Build a supportive work relationship with the Shift Supervisor and also collaborate with other team leadership
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in coaching/mentoring the team
  • Provide input into performance evaluations, recommending promotions, wage increases, employee development, discipline, and terminations
  • Become involved in processes to ensure tasks are executed correctly and in a timely fashion
  • Ensure incoming and outgoing materials meet Schluter quality standards
  • Allocate equipment so that it is utilized in the safest, most efficient manner
  • Ensure that all records and reports regarding activities are timely and clear
  • Make recommendations to the Supervisors/Continuous Improvement leaders on process improvements
  • Review operations daily to ensure the area is neat and well organized and that damage to product, equipment, and the facility is prevented.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed, we operate in compliance with Company, OSHA, and other appropriate standards.
  • We represent Schluter Systems L.P. in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters
