About The Position

MarketStar is looking for a Team Lead to support our new team in Salt Lake City, Utah, working alongside Flex (getflex.com). Flex is a growth-stage FinTech company on a mission to empower renters with flexibility over their most significant recurring expenses. This is a hands-on leadership role as we launch and scale a high-caliber Inside Sales team responsible for the full-cycle acquisition of new customers. You will lead, coach, and grow a talented team of professionals while ensuring they effectively demonstrate the benefits of the Flex platform to help users better manage their finances. We are looking for a driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about disrupting traditional financial models.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in managing or coaching sales teams within the technology or FinTech sectors.
  • Personal experience managing a full sales cycle, from cold outreach and self-prospecting to negotiation and closing.
  • Proven track record in a quota-driven environment, with the ability to translate high-level targets into actionable daily activities for a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach reps on how to convey complex financial solutions to a diverse audience.
  • Data-driven mindset, with high proficiency in Salesforce to monitor team activity and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Adaptability and decisiveness, with the ability to build new processes and workflows as the Flex team scales.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of balancing client-facing operations with internal MarketStar management functions.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in high-energy environments and is committed to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and relevant computer software and hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) across full-cycle sales disciplines, including outbound prospecting, qualification, demos, and closing.
  • Drive performance against targets and KPIs aligned to Flex’s growth goals, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly revenue expectations.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach, stepping into the sales motion to assist with complex negotiations or high-value demos as needed.
  • Gather a deep understanding of the Flex platform and the FinTech landscape to effectively enable the team to position rent flexibility as a vital financial tool.
  • Oversee pipeline health and CRM (Salesforce) integrity, ensuring accurate forecasting and disciplined activity management across the team.
  • Continuously increase team effectiveness by recognizing opportunities to refine multi-channel outreach sequences and targeted list-building efforts.
  • Create a culture of focus, teamwork, and outstanding performance that mirrors the mission-driven values of Flex.
  • Partner with client contacts and post-sales teams to ensure a seamless transition from "closed-won" to successful customer onboarding.
  • Take responsibility for performance discipline, employee scheduling and attendance, time-card approvals, performance evaluations, and associated management functions.
