About the position

The Team Lead - Construction, Operations, Facilities position at Glidewell Dental involves overseeing and coordinating various construction and operational tasks. The role requires effective dispatching of personnel, monitoring material movements, and ensuring timely completion of projects. The Team Lead will also be responsible for quality assurance, inventory management, and maintaining safety standards on job sites. This position is crucial for promoting a positive work environment and supporting the Supervisor in daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively dispatches personnel to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitors designated software for incoming material movements and updates requestors with accurate real-time statuses.
  • Establishes daily goals for production and assigns personnel considering their strengths for optimal efficiency.
  • Provides coaching and feedback on QRT personnel and reports back to leadership on team member progress.
  • Leads quality assurance for deliveries and parts running, ensuring all orders are complete, accurate, and on time.
  • Leads inventory and warehousing activities for multiple warehousing locations, ensuring proper inventory controls and compliance with warehousing SOPs.
  • Utilizes designated software to monitor and track operations warehouse inventory levels.
  • Monitors construction schedules to ensure materials are delivered in a 'just in time' fashion and resolves obstacles to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensures QRT personnel adhere to company safety policy and promotes effective communication for jobsite and operational hazards.
  • Maintains positive relationships with facility personnel, purchasing teams, management, and other internal personnel.
  • Promotes and develops a positive work environment for all team members.
  • Supports Supervisor to ensure daily construction operations on the jobsite are adhered to and complete.
  • Performs daily jobsite inspections including shutdown procedures to ensure the security and compliance of jobsites.
  • Leads assigned construction projects as they relate to Operations including performing material takeoffs, progress communication, fabrication, inspections, and other related project duties.
  • Performs tool audits, tool inspections, and tool maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in warehouse/inventory leadership.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with facility/construction tools, materials, and equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean manufacturing (six sigma) certification, preferred.
  • Valid documentation to travel internationally, preferred.
