About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking to fill Level C, Team Lead Assemblers for Mid Body Operations, Cell 10-Structures, 88-20 building, in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. Cell 10 Structures team is comprised of: Secondary Structures, Automation, Upper join, Lower join, Side of Body, T-Beams and Seal. Secondary Structures: systems, structures and provisions work Automation: Bonnet load, shim & tack, locate parts, install, load for drilling the Flex track. Upper Join: shim, drill, quack & install. Lower Join: shim, drill, quack, install and Bonnet Load. Side of Body: D-burr, quack, shim, and Bonnet load. T-Beams: drill, quack and install. Seal: All elements of sealing operations. Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Builds effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader. Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions. Assigns daily work. Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan. Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk. Documents and communicates shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing. Monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues. Creates standardized work instructions. Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements. Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks. Exhibits Boeing Behaviors Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience with operations process involving the 787 Airplane Program.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 1+ years of Structures Experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Velocity
  • 1+ years of experience in REDARS and navigating engineering documents.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work 1st shift
