About The Position

IU Health Medical Group-South Region is hiring! We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider Team Lead to lead our Primary Care & Behavioral Health departments. The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center. At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.

Requirements

• Must be board certified.
• Must have 2 years' experience as an APP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for APPs in your specialty or location.
• Coordinate daily operations to ensure appropriate coverage and patient care.
• Review and monitor quality, productivity, and documentation compliance reports.
• Communicate important updates from leadership to the APP team.
• Identify operational or clinical concerns and escalate as appropriate.
• Assist in onboarding, orientation, and mentorship of new APPs.
• Lead regular team huddles, meetings, and check-ins to maintain alignment.
• Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and candidate evaluations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
