About The Position

The position involves ensuring that labor and materials are present to meet schedule attainment, while also ensuring that a quality product is assembled and packaged according to customer specifications and standards. The role requires meeting or exceeding all targets for Quality, Productivity, Uptime, On-Time Delivery, and Cost. The individual must be able to perform work content at every station per work instruction and to takt time, while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment following 5S principles. Additionally, the position includes overseeing the cross-training of assembly line workers, keeping the training matrix up-to-date, tracking daily attendance, and completing time sheets. The role also involves driving continuous improvement to achieve a World Class manufacturing environment through the implementation of the Rittal Production System (RPS). The individual will interface with quality, engineering, and buyer/planner to help resolve any production issues, as well as with internal suppliers to address production challenges. Active participation in improving assembly operations and developing new ideas or methods to enhance efficiency is expected, along with engaging with peers, supervisors, and management to foster a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Prior assembly knowledge required.
  • Familiarity with basic 5S concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and have a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
