About The Position

The position involves managing the scheduling activities of the shop floor and shipping under the direction of the Supervisor, Operations Planner, or Plant Manager, following established procedures and approved processes. The role requires the ability to identify personnel shortages on a day-to-day basis and oversee all production scheduling operations to ensure timely loading and shipping. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver quality manufactured products. The position also involves maintaining communication with team members and management, addressing line problems, parts shortages, and engineering issues, and continuously seeking innovative solutions for problem-solving while focusing on continuous improvement. Additionally, the role supports team leaders and members in implementing quality and productivity improvements and assists with Human Resources functions such as employee hiring, retention, performance reviews, and enforcement of company policies. A key emphasis is placed on developing labor cost reduction systems and maximizing efficiency while balancing safety, quality, productivity, and employee morale.
