About Team Kentucky Internship Program: The Team Kentucky Internship Program brings talented and motivated college students into the world of public service. The program provides meaningful and relevant work experience, professional development activities, and offers interns networking opportunities with other interns across the Commonwealth, all while working alongside program and field professionals, state government leaders. The Team Kentucky Internship Program is a prestigious and competitive program; therefore, interested applicants must complete an online application and be vetted through an interview process. Those selected for the program will perform valuable work in our state agencies. To be considered for a position in the Team Kentucky Internship Program, applicant must: Be enrolled at an accredited Kentucky post-secondary school or other educational institution approved by the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. Be in good standing with the school with at least a 2.5 grade point average at hire. Graduating high school seniors enrolled in college courses with a 2.5 GPA may also qualify and apply to participate in the program. Candidates must be 18 years of age by May 15, 2026. Interested applicants must upload their unofficial transcript when applying to TKIP positions.
