Bold’s Teaching Fellowship Program is a highly-selective, school-based training program that empowers aspiring teachers with the training, skills, and experiences needed to become highly effective teachers. Ideal candidates are those who hold a commitment to improving educational outcomes in traditionally underserved communities. The Teaching Fellowship Program provides strategic, programmatic, and financial support over the course of two years, as Teaching Fellows hold full-time teaching positions at Bold as Teaching Fellows in year one and Lead Teachers in year two. Bold Teaching Fellows are supported by an instructional leader to develop the skills and expertise to grow into a highly effective teacher. Bold covers all expenses related to obtaining a New York State Teaching Certification. Bold contributes to, and in some cases fully covers, the cost of a Fellow's graduate school tuition for a Master's Degree. To support Bold’s commitment to hiring, developing, and retaining a diverse teaching staff who is representative of the communities we serve, a scholarship for additional financial aid is available. As a Teaching Fellow at Bold Charter School, you will work closely with a Lead Teacher to ensure that every student experiences a joyful, engaging, and rigorous learning environment every day. You will take on increased levels of responsibility throughout the year, with the support of a Lead Teacher, to model and inspire a love of learning that will equip each student to succeed in school and thrive in life. You will be part of a results-oriented and collaborative team of professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of educational excellence. You will receive regular coaching and feedback, and will have opportunities to grow into a Lead Teacher and transformative leader within the organization.
