This position will deliver lectures and provide comprehensive instructional program support services for courses and labs in the PharmD, Pharmacology/Toxicology BS, and Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate programs (approximately 50% effort) and serve as an integrated course coordinator (approximately 50% effort) for the integrated pharmacology-pharmacotherapy course series. The individual will be expected to define, update, and deliver a high-quality curriculum using best practices in instructional design and delivery. Successful candidates will be expected to deliver content related to pharmacology while collaborating with other faculty across divisions in the School of Pharmacy to achieve instructional excellence in team-taught courses. The individual will also interpret test scores and meet with students to assess/assist course progress and to provide advice and guidance when needed. To achieve the above, it is expected that the individual will participate in meetings or programs to learn of opportunities to advance instruction and present ideas related to instructional programs internal or external to the School of Pharmacy. In some instances, it may be necessary to supervise, train, and evaluate teaching assistants (TAs). Hiring at the I or II level will depend on accomplishments and experience including but not limited to: a strong record of teaching, classroom innovation, the design and execution of administrative functions associated with academic instruction and the development of pedagogy/andragogy or assessment tools and resources to support quality student learning. A start date on or before the beginning of the 2026-2027 faculty contract year (August 17, 2026) is acceptable.
