About The Position

William James College announces openings for full-time Teaching Faculty Fellows in the Counseling and Behavioral Health Department beginning August 2025. The Fellowship offers a highly competitive salary and opportunities for career advancement at the College and prepares new faculty to enter the nation's professoriate. The Teaching Faculty Fellowship aims to recruit, train, and mentor recent graduates or early career professionals who have completed their doctoral degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program preferred, or doctoral degree in counseling or related area with at least one-year full time teaching experience in a graduate counseling program prior to July 1, 2013 (as per CACREP 2024 standards). Applicants with doctoral degrees in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Mental Health Counseling will also be considered. The primary aim of the Fellowship is to develop a critical mass of exceptionally talented and well-trained faculty members who are historically underrepresented in academic settings. It endeavors to equip Fellows with the skills, knowledge, and expertise to engage in paradigm shifting inclusive teaching, advising, and research practices as well as in administrative and leadership positions in academia.
