JOB SUMMARY Teaching Associate will teach one or more 2-unit lab section. This position involves preparing a syllabus and assignments, creating lessons and class activities, attending class weekly for the duration of the semester, grading assignments, holding weekly office hours, and responding to student communication in a timely manner. Teaching Associates will also work closely with the full-time faculty members teaching the 3-unit lecture portion of the class to make sure the lecture and lab coincide. Requirements

• Must be a student in the graduate program in the Department of Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies.
• Be enrolled in good standing as a classified graduate studen of the graduate program for CAFS.
• Maintain academic eligibility throughout the employment period (enrolled, with 3.0 GPA or higher).
• Be available to teach courses at time assigned.
• Attend pre-teaching course planning sessions during the day the week before classes begin in Fall. Specific dates and times TBA.
• Accept responsibility and have the ability to relate well to others.

Nice To Haves

• Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued.
• Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
