About The Position

The University of North Dakota is seeking a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Energy and Petroleum Engineering, starting in Fall 2024. This role focuses on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in petroleum and energy engineering, engaging with students, and participating in departmental activities.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience working in an engineering role in the energy industry.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

  • Ten years of experience working in an engineering role in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching petroleum and energy engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Participation in recruiting and outreach activities.
  • Management of the department's graduate program and grants.
  • Other duties as needed by the department.

Benefits

  • Salary starting at $50,000+ dependent on experience.
  • 9-month contract.
