About The Position

The Department of Physics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Teaching Associate Pool. We welcome applications from current CSUF graduate students in the Physics department to teach in the following subject areas: Introduction to Astronomy Lab Elementary Physics Lab (Mechanics & Electricity and Magnetism) (algebra based) Fundamental Physics Lab (Mechanics & Electricity and Magnetism & Modern Physics) (Calculus based) This is a pool of Teaching Associate for the department to draw on as necessary. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled graduate student at CSUF in good academic standing.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written
  • Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with a culturally diverse population of students, including first-generation college students.
