Reporting to the Associate Director of Education and Community Engagement and as a member of the Education and Community Engagement Department, the Teaching Artist will collaborate with a team of Museum Educators and help mentor UCI students as Museum Art Educators, provides work direction and supervision to lower-level educators to helps build relationships with partner K-12 schools, and the University. Researches, develops, implements, and presents museum education programs about collections, exhibitions, research, and related subject area content, to enhance public understanding. Coordinates programmatic logistics, including schedules, resources, budgets and training. The Teaching Artist develops lesson plans and scripts, team-teaches lessons developed in collaboration with the Museum Art Educator for the Education Department's Virtual School Visit and the IMCA's multi-visit program. Note: This is a limited appointment.
