Teaching Assistant - Arlington, VA Background: Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies. We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Teaching Assistant position in Arlington, VA supporting the National Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC), formerly referred to as the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). Position Summary: This position supports the Diplomatic Tradecraft and Regional Area Studies Training (DTET) directorate, Public Diplomacy (PD) division. The Teaching Assistant handles differing situations, problems, and deviations in the work of the office according to the COR’s or GTM’s general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and program goals. The TA uses judgement and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations, interprets and adapts guidelines, including unwritten policies, precedents, and practices. Additionally, the Teaching Assistant supports course delivery duties to include preparing course materials administratively (i.e., photocopying, posting article links to FSILearn, etc.), preparing name tents, door signs, classroom preparation and clean up, audio-visual requests, GSO requests, coordination with program analyst on logistical arrangements (bus, field trips, etc.).
