The Software and Societal Systems (S3D) department within the School of Computer Science explores the vital intersection of the confluence of software, systems and society to understand how computational biology might better serve humanity. We are studying the bigger picture of computing in context in order to develop tools, policies, methods, and much more – all in the same making the world a safer, more equitable, better place to call home. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping and project support for our S3D department. Core Responsibilities Include: Help faculty members with classroom teaching and instruction Obtaining materials needed for classes, including texts Office hours for students Recitation Proctoring exams Attending lectures Other duties as assigned Flexibility, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within the School of Computer Science. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in academic environments within higher education
  • Experience in a master's degree program
  • Experience with research
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
  • Successful background check investigation
