About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nevada State Certification as a Laboratory Assistant.
• Minimum of three years experience as a working technologist.

Nice To Haves

• Hold national certification as a phlebotomy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist phlebotomy faculty member to properly prepare laboratory space for learning.
• Assist the phlebotomy faculty member to teach phlebotomy skills, following safety rules and regulations.
• Under the direction of the faculty member, provide feedback to learners regarding their ability to draw blood specimens.
• Communicate effectively with students, other assistants and the faculty member.
