About The Position
The Teaching Assistant (NY HELPS) position is under the supervision of a certified teacher, providing direct instructional services to students utilizing lesson plans, tests, and teaching aids developed by a certified teacher. The role involves reinforcing subject matter previously taught by guiding students through prescribed and frequently repetitive learning exercises, as well as administering, proctoring, and correcting tests. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
