About The Position

This is a student teaching assistant position for currently enrolled students at the University of La Verne. Lab TA’s will assist the instructor in the proper functioning of the lab during the session and help students follow proper techniques and safety rules while conducting experiments. TA’s must be proactive in the lab and model proper laboratory safety at all times, including wearing the proper protective equipment: lab coats, goggles and proper clothing and shoes. This position may be extended to the January and Spring 2025 semester after evaluation by the lab coordinator on performance in the lab.

Requirements

• Successful completion of CHEM 201/202, respective of the section you want to TA for, with a grade of B- or better
• Mandatory attendance at the weekly lab meetings
• Committed to working both Fall and Spring semesters for a minimum of 10 hours/week
• Must be a current University of La Verne student
