About The Position
The Teaching Assistant position is a limited term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or conversion to a permanent position. Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Academic and the direction of a credentialed academic teacher, the teaching assistant will provide educational support to students enrolled in the Office of Correctional Education (OCE) Academic Program. Responsibilities include tutoring students in one-on-one sessions, facilitating small group sessions, correcting homework and quizzes, assisting in student testing, monitoring student progress, and tracking program completions. Communication for this position will primarily occur via email, so a valid email address is required on the application.
