About The Position

Aspen Leaf Preschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join their Reggio-inspired educational team. The role focuses on creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that foster a love for learning in students. The teacher will work closely with children to support their academic and personal growth in a nurturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or 12 post-secondary semester units in early childhood education covering child growth and development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education practices.
• At least 6 months previous early childhood teaching experience.
• Ability to create engaging instructional materials that cater to different learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

• Reggio experience preferred but not necessary.
• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
• Participate in curriculum development initiatives to enhance educational offerings.
• Maintain classroom management and uphold school policies to ensure a safe learning environment.
