ABOUT BURLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT Burlington School District (BSD) is the largest, most diverse single-town school district in the state of Vermont. In School Year 2024-2025 (SY25), BSD served nearly 3,200 PreK - Grade 12 students across 12 centralized campuses and additional locations for Burlington Technical Center programs. This includes providing support for 465 PreK students through 51 different partner programs in the area. In SY25, Students in BSD came from homes representing 37 different first languages. Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
  • Endorsed or eligible for Vermont Provisional endorsement.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
  • Knowledge of research based best practices that accelerate learning for all students
  • Experience effectively working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and/or experience with English Language Learners.
  • Experience in a professional/teaching learning community
  • Evidence of student-centered learning approaches including personalizing instruction and supporting students meeting core proficiencies
  • Evidence of implementing inclusive practices for students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
