About The Position

Leader of teaching team in the early childhood classroom. Responsible for the overall development and implementation of the education program in the classroom to keep the classroom compliant with state licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Requirements

• CDA in the appropriate area, Infant/Toddler
• Experience in early childhood classroom management
• Experience in planning curriculum
• Experience in record-keeping

Nice To Haves

• Preferred degree: interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development, elementary education (P-5), childcare assistant, child development services, individual and family studies
• Related degree: psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, occupational therapy
• Experience working with children with disabilities
• Experience with computers
