Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other staff members in the education process and assist with the smooth operation of the building.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and other special education administrative requirements in collaboration with administration, staff, and parents.
  • Participate in the total school program and demonstrate dependability and punctuality in assigned duties.
  • Display positive personal traits and serve as a model for students in terms of integrity, respect, and responsibility.
  • Abide by the Pennsylvania School Code and the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with administrators, parents, students, staff members, and the general public.
  • Participate in curriculum review and redesign as required by department, subject area, or grade level.
  • Enhance professional competence through ongoing professional development.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet lesson objectives and provide students with opportunities beyond the classroom.
  • Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress to develop effective instructional strategies and provide timely feedback.
  • Recognize and use appropriate technological enhancements relevant to the curriculum taught.
  • Demonstrate understanding and concern for each student in meeting their educational needs.
