About The Position
The Teacher - Special Day Class at Milpitas Unified School District is responsible for providing learning experiences and classroom instruction for children identified as handicapped and having intensive needs that cannot be remediated in the regular program with the use of supplementary aids or services. The role involves evaluating each student's social and academic needs, developing and modifying Individual Educational Programs (IEPs), and coordinating the special class program with the regular class. The teacher will also consult with school personnel and parents regarding students' learning behavior and maintain files and reports as required by federal, state, and district regulations.
