GLIDEâs mission is to create a radically inclusive, just, and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization Position Summary: The Teacherâs Assistant (ASP) assists teaching staff in carrying out Afterschool Program activities, helps to maintain a positive and supportive environment, and is responsible for supervising the children and youth in classrooms, halls, school yards, etc., and enforcing all FYCC policies and procedures. The Teacherâs Assistant will âfloatâ from room to room to provide teaching assistance as needed. The Teacherâs Assistant is responsible for complying with, and ensuring compliance with DCYF (Department of Children, Youth and Families), CA Community Care Licensing, Department of Social Services requirements. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule (some evenings); regular and predictable attendance is essential.
