The role involves providing dyslexia intervention to identified students and conducting dyslexia assessments. The individual will communicate with campus staff, district special education staff, and parents/guardians regarding student needs. Success in this role includes delivering an evidence-based dyslexia program with fidelity, collaborating with regular education teachers and special education staff to develop PLAAFP and annual goals/objectives for IEPs, and participating in MTSS, Section 504, and ARD committees. The position requires administering and interpreting comprehensive dyslexia assessments, attending ongoing staff development, and maintaining accurate records and reports related to student progress. The individual will also create a conducive classroom environment, manage student behavior, and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and students.
