About The Position

The OB Surgical Technologist position at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas is a full-time role focused on providing technical support and patient care for obstetric patients. Responsibilities include preparing operating and delivery rooms, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program per the National Board of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to understand English both written and spoken.
• Experience as a surgical technologist, from new graduates to experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for patient care in the OB department.
• Assist in surgical procedures as a first or second scrub.
• Maintain and clean sterile instrumentation according to hospital policy.
• Perform clerical support tasks including patient registration and record maintenance.
• Support nursing staff and patients with ADLs.
• Handle operational support tasks such as ensuring adequate supplies and patient transport.
• Maintain calm and efficiency during obstetrical emergencies.
