About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for Pre-Kindergarten Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Prekindergarten/Early Education, or related field OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Pre-Kindergarten/Primary PK-3 or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
• All hires must meet the Early Childhood physical examination requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Reading Endorsement preferred. Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.
• Current and former parents or guardians of children served by the Head Start program will receive preference for employment in Head Start vacancies for which they apply.
