Qualifications: NJ instructional certificate in Physical Education and Health Hold and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications Hold and maintain, if assigned responsibilities for teaching swimming, an American Red Cross water safety certificate registered with the New Jersey State Department of Education Have experience in teaching and working with students in the field of comprehensive health and physical education, unless entering teaching from an alternative certification program Excellent classroom management Hold a valid driver's license with no serious violations Possess interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents, administrators, and community Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications Diagnose student strengths and weakness and match those skills with appropriate techniques and materials Mastery of pedagogical and subject matter skills Knowledge of NJ Curriculum standards For more information about this position, please visit the Job Descriptions page.
