Teacher, Performing Arts

Mapleton Public SchoolsDenver, CO
$60,004 - $124,634

About The Position

This is a shared position between Welby Community School of the Arts (K-6) and the Performing Arts School on Broadway (7-12), located about 3 miles apart. The selected candidate will work with both schools to create a balanced schedule that allows for planning and travel time. At the Performing Arts School on Broadway, teachers collaborate with the Performing Arts Coordinator and principal to deliver a comprehensive program in music, dance, theater, and technical theater. Students take two arts electives daily, including both "Studio" classes (skill-building) and "Production" classes (focused on performances). Staff also support multiple annual productions and student performance opportunities. Ideal candidates can teach in more than one area (e.g., acting, music, dance, or technical theater), have relevant industry experience, and enjoy working collaboratively to bring productions to life. PASB is a non-audition public school focused on helping all students build creativity, collaboration, and leadership skills through the arts. Welby is an arts-integrated elementary school that emphasizes creativity, student ownership, and hands-on learning. This role will expand performing arts opportunities for younger students through engaging experiences in drama, movement, music, and performance. We're looking for a creative, student-centered educator excited to build programs, share their expertise, and create meaningful arts experiences across both schools.
