About The Position
Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a part-time Teacher - Physical Education/Health position that is available at New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home for the 2026-2027 school year. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach Health/Physical Education.
- Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
- Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
- Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
- Be dependable and punctual
- Have experience or have working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course
