The Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) plays a vital role in bringing access, advocacy, and innovation to students who are blind, low vision, or deafblind across Colorado. Reporting to the Director of Outreach Programs, this position provides instructional support, assessments, and guidance to children and families from birth through age 21. Through collaboration with school districts, BOCES, and families, the TVI helps build inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive whether in a preschool classroom, a home visit, or a high school transition meeting. This role blends teaching expertise with creativity, flexibility, and a passion for empowering learners with visual impairments to meet and exceed Colorado Academic Standards.
