About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide services to students at schools in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidates will deliver specialized instruction and communication support to promote language development and academic achievement.
Requirements
- Certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (Texas)
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- School -based experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized instruction to develop students’ expressive and receptive communication skills.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to ensure accessible and meaningful learning experiences.
- Support the development of auditory, speech -reading, and language skills aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with interpreters, educators, and families to promote consistent communication strategies across settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies.
- Any other duties as assigned.
