About The Position

Pennsauken Public Schools is seeking two Teachers of Special Education for Pennsauken High School. This urban/suburban school district serves approximately 5,000 students from Pre-K to 12th grade in Camden County, New Jersey. The positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.

Requirements

• Endorsement #2475 Teacher of Student with Disabilities w/Endorsement #1001 New Jersey State Certification REQUIRED or #2470 Teacher of Handicap
• MUST pass NJ Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement
• New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees in effect

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and prepares for the daily instruction program
• Evaluates student progress and provides progress reports as required
• Strives to maintain professional competence
• Identifies pupil needs in cooperation with other professional staff members and assists in assessing and helping pupils with school related problems
• Enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy
• Maintains communication with parents, administrators and other professional staff members in order to best serve the interest of students
• Maintains a safe and orderly work area
• Performs other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal and/or his/her designee
