The position involves working as part of a team with the Principal, Assistant Principal, and others to support positive student behavior in the school. The teacher of deportment reports to the principal or his/her designee. Responsibilities include providing direct instruction to students needing assistance in appropriate behavior, implementing disciplinary policies, and ensuring a safe learning community. The role also involves working with parents, students, and staff to facilitate successful transitions between schools, supporting classroom and non-classroom learning, and conducting conflict resolution activities. Additionally, the position serves as a liaison to the surrounding community and other area schools regarding student safety and behavior issues.
