About The Position

The Pennington School is seeking a Teacher of Compensatory Skills for the second semester of the 2024-25 academic year, starting January 6, 2025. This role involves working closely with students with diagnosed learning disabilities to enhance their academic strengths and address their specific learning challenges. The position is part of the Cervone Center for Learning, which provides specialized support within a traditional college preparatory setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in special education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with developmental disabilities.
  • Teaching certification is not required but preferred.
  • Understanding of the specific needs of students with learning disabilities.
  • Desire to work with middle- and high-school-age students.
