About The Position

Under the supervision of the Principal, plan, organize, and implement appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential.

Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students according to appropriate curriculum that includes assessment and review processes.
• Plan, develop, write, and implement lesson plans in keeping with school district and state education requirements, keeping records of student achievement and tracking their abilities.
• Work in collaboration with staff and other teachers.
• Comply with and enforce school rules and school board policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as appropriate.
• Perform other school duties and assignments as appointed.
