Teacher – Mental Health Program (Part-Time) Locations: Exton, Lansdale, Paoli, Pottstown, and Havertown, PA Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM (4–5 hours per day) Start Date: September 2026 (2026–2027 School Year) Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certifications Make a Difference Every Day At High Focus Centers, we provide evidence-based treatment for adolescents navigating challenges related to mental health, substance use, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions. We are seeking 5 Teachers to join our Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) across our five office locations. These roles bridge education and treatment, helping students continue their academic progress while focusing on healing and recovery. What You’ll Do As a Teacher in our Mental Health Program, you will provide academic instruction to adolescents participating in outpatient treatment. You will work closely with both the clinical and educational teams to create a supportive and structured learning environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification required (Special Education Certification strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with adolescents preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a therapeutic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, therapeutic, or alternative education settings is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic instruction aligned with each student’s home school curriculum
  • Adapt lessons and implement IEP/504 accommodations to meet individual learning needs
  • Maintain communication with school liaisons, parents, and treatment team members
  • Foster engagement, confidence, and resilience for students experiencing academic disruption
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to holistic care planning
  • Prepare progress updates and final transition reports upon student discharge
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and FERPA standards
