About The Position

Grand Peak Academy is seeking a dedicated kindergarten teacher for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year, starting on January 6, 2025. This role involves joining a committed team of educators to provide a classical education that emphasizes critical thinking and active participation in the classroom. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students while fostering a joyful and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in teaching.
• Must have a Colorado State license or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a passing score on the Praxis exam in your area of concentration (Elementary Education, Music, Technology, Physical Education, etc.) or must qualify under ESSA.
• Successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide an inviting, exciting, inclusive, and joyful classical learning environment.
• Participate wholeheartedly in professional development and enrich expertise in the subject area.
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans that are rigorous, clear, measurable, and aligned with Colorado Standards and GPA's instructional approaches.
• Embrace school initiatives and curriculum including Core Knowledge, CKLA, CKH, and Eureka Math in planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of students with a wide variety of learning styles, needs, and behaviors.
• Follow the school's policies and procedures for student conduct, discipline, and social emotional development.
• Form meaningful relationships with families and involve parents in their children's education.
