About The Position

Next Generation Academy is seeking a dedicated K-8 classroom teacher who is passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and committed to student success. The role involves designing and implementing engaging lesson plans, maintaining classroom management, and utilizing data to drive instruction, all while collaborating with colleagues and communicating effectively with students and parents.

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching, preferably within a classroom setting.
• Familiarity with curriculum and lesson planning techniques.
• Strong classroom management skills that promote a respectful learning environment.
• Teaching Certification (Required).

• Ability to relocate before starting work (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning and facilitate student engagement.
• Establish and maintain a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Implement effective behavior management techniques to promote a safe and orderly environment.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding of concepts.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and adjust instruction based on assessment results.
• Identify and address the unique learning needs of each student, including those requiring additional support or enrichment.
• Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events to contribute to the school's mission and goals.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in education and engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
