About The Position

Join our team as a Secondary Teacher at Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated JapaneseTeacher (Grade 3-10) with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers . This is a full-time, fixed-term position that will commence on 19 January 2026 and concludes on 4 December 2026 . You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team of dedicated educators who work closely with families to deliver outstanding Japanese language learning for students in Years 3–10. Your knowledge of contemporary language-teaching practices, and your ability to differentiate learning, will help students of all abilities feel confident, included, and motivated to communicate in Japanese. In your classroom, you’ll inspire curiosity about Japanese language and culture through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, clear expectations, and reflective practice. You’ll use a variety of assessment strategies to track language development, celebrate progress, and provide meaningful feedback that supports each student’s growth and love of learning.
