The primary purpose of this position is to provide all students with appropriate learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role involves enabling students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society. The educator will actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD, ensuring that the educational environment is conducive to learning and development. The educator will guide the learning of students in accordance with the district's philosophy of instruction, aligning teaching methods and available resources to the District curriculum. This includes presenting subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, administrative guidelines, and the District curriculum. Ongoing assessments of student learning will be conducted, and results will be used to plan and implement instruction effectively. Collaboration with other teachers is essential to modify curricula and instruction as needed for special education, 504, ELL, and GT students. The educator will work cooperatively with campus and district instructional supervisors, leaders, and department heads to improve instruction and offer accelerated instruction to students who meet any of the state “at risk” criteria. Responsibilities also include planning and supervising assignments of teacher aides and volunteers, maintaining a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding confidentiality. The educator will create a classroom environment conducive to learning, manage student behavior according to the CCISD Student Code of Conduct, and maintain accurate student accounting and grading records. Participation in professional development activities to improve instructional effectiveness and collaboration with colleagues to reflect on teaching practices are also key components of this role. The educator is expected to stay informed of developments in the profession and display openness to change and innovation, contributing to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
