About The Position

The position is for a Teacher - Instructional Support General, focused on providing academically at-risk students with reading support through intervention groups and/or individual instruction. This role also involves assisting with data interpretation to boost student growth and achievement, and helping plan parent involvement activities. The role is for the 26-27 school year and is 0.6 FTE.

Requirements

• Arizona Elementary Teacher certification
• Three (3) years successful classroom teaching experience
• Experience in teaching content area of intervention groups

Nice To Haves

• Reading endorsement if teaching reading intervention groups
• Math endorsement if teaching math intervention groups
• ESL endorsement

Responsibilities

• Provide K-8 math, reading and writing support to children and teachers through supplemental groups and/or supplemental individual instruction in the classroom
• Assist with disaggregation and interpretation of assessment data to increase individual student growth and achievement
• Assist in the planning of parent involvement activities
• Perform other duties related to the implementation of the school wide plan
• Perform other duties as assigned
