About The Position

We are seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start Classroom at our Chisholm Early Learning Center, located in Rumford. An Infant Toddler Teacher is part of a teaching team under the direction of a Lead Teacher. This position is 40 hours and year-round.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate credential required or equivalent to college coursework
• Experience in an early childhood setting
• Ability to function autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities
• Competency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Sex Offender Registries, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment
• A valid driver’s license
• Travel within the service area are required

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher and contribute to high-quality preschool programming
• Planning activities and tailoring curriculum to meet children’s social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development
• Communicating with and supporting families in meeting their children’s and families’ needs
