About The Position

Provo Canyon School is seeking a full-time Secondary certified teacher endorsed to teach Physical Education and Health, with additional endorsements in Dance or Yoga being a valuable asset. This role involves teaching Health, Fitness for Life, and PE Skills and Technique courses to high school students in a supportive, small classroom environment, focusing on emotionally distressed or at-risk youth. The position operates year-round, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a salary range of $48,000 to $66,000 based on education and experience.

Requirements

• Valid secondary teaching certificate with a Physical Education & Health endorsement is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.
• Elective endorsement in Dance is preferred.
• Mild to Moderate Special Education endorsement is preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with emotionally distressed or at-risk youth.
• Endorsements in additional subjects such as Yoga.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education, Health, and Dance courses to high school students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Utah State Physical Education and Health Core Standards.
