About The Position

The Paterson Public Schools is seeking to fill the position of a Bilingual Science (Biology) Teacher for grades 9-12. The effective date for this position is immediate. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching biology to bilingual high school students and must possess the necessary qualifications and endorsements as outlined below.

Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey High School Certificate, Highly Qualified 9-12 in Biology
• Hold a bilingual education endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6:11-8.4), and other appropriate endorsement(s) for the position held (N.J.A.C. 6:11-6.1, 6.2, or 8.1 et seq.)
• Experience working with Bilingual high school students
• Knowledge of assessments and data analysis of instructional purposes
• Ability to communicate in Spanish, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administration and the community
