About The Position
As a General Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you motivate students to achieve academic excellence. You will provide direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math. Your responsibilities will include creating a classroom environment that cultivates learning, engaging the interests of the students, and allowing them to perform at their very best. You will utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities designed to promote their social, physical, and intellectual growth. Additionally, you will explore individual needs and provide side-by-side support to discover how each student learns best, developing personalized solutions to their learning styles and abilities. You will master the proven curriculum, implement the philosophy of education, and guide the learning process toward achieving curriculum goals. Evaluating each student's learning capabilities and celebrating their accomplishments will also be part of your role, as well as encouraging students to uphold values and model good character both in and out of the classroom.
